Home decor for less: little treasures

One thing that makes a home unique is a collection of small nick-knacks adding a touch of personality to the space. Every house has some treasures collected from travels or received as gifts. However, time and again you want to switch things up or add something new. A great place to find these unique pieces without a hefty price tag are thrift-stores.

What do we look for?

Figurines, statues, vases, paperweights, seasonal small decor, etc.

Good quality pieces made out of natural materials, i.e. wood or ceramic. With a little love these look like new. And even if they show some wear and tear -  it only adds to their charm.

Things that you love or that "speak to you". For example, we love wooden African and tribal masks and figurines. They usually have simple shapes and lines and a lot of character.
